The Make-A-Wish Foundation in Nebraska young boy battling cancer was gifted his very own puppy “in honor of National Love Your Pet Day,” and his reaction is the most wholesome thing you’ll see on the internet today.
According to an Instagram post by Global Positive News, 11-year-old Elijah had always wanted to be a proud pet parent. And he had a very specific pet in mind—a black, brown, and white corgi puppy who he would name Tucker. When Make-A-Wish heard, it hunted down exactly what he wanted and gave it to him in a surprise reveal in 2023.
A video captured that day showed Elijah absolutely beside himself with emotion when he saw the puppy. Before Elijah took Tucker in his arms, he shook with excitement and sobbed happy tears. Then he held the puppy close.
